the Colony's list, we have specified a cast iron box

complete with lead sleeve 8o. This is supplied in

both "straight through" and "T" form and is illus-

trated by the drawings 30137A and 26905A. The number

of straight through boxes required will depend upon

the number of jointe which the local street con-

ditions will necessitate, but it is thought that it

will be possible to lay much longer lengthe than

those contemplat ad. A statement of the manufacturers

lengths in which the oables will be supplied is given

at the foot of our list of plant.

(k). From plan B.I. we assume that the 25 paire

cable to the Harbour Office will be taken under-

ground into the building, also at the New Law Courts.

For these points we have, therefore, specified cable

distribution cases. This applies also to the No.5

police station (which we observe is also the Central

Fire Station), and at the Government Offices.

(1). The 25 pairs lead covered cable specified

under item 24 is for use between the dry core cables

and the distribution cases. It will be impregnated

with beeswax similarly to the cable referred to

under sub-section (A) above, and pothead joints

will not therefore be necessary.

(a). The 100 paira cable through section C will

have 35 pairs of wires in disuse at point R. Theae

can be left terminated and sealed up in one of the

branches
